The WDA Foundation kicked off its year-long 50th
anniversary celebration May 9 with a special reception at Lambeau Field in
conjunction with the 2007 Jewel of the Great Lakes Wisconsin Dental
Meeting.
More than 150
attendees walked through the Packers Hall of Fame and enjoyed a reception at
Club 1919, where they could sample hors devours and bid on Packers memorabilia,
generously donated by Group One Marketing of Menomonee Falls. Silent auction
items included a football autographed by Brett Favre and a framed and
autographed Donald Driver jersey and raised over $2,200 for the foundation.
Packers back-up
quarterback Aaron Rodgers and legends Fuzzy Thurston and Larry McCarren were in
attendance throughout the reception for autographs and photos.
"Touch
Down" attendees kept busy touring Lambeau Field and "Super Bowl" attendees took
a break between their tour and the reception to have their picture taken
overlooking the field for a special keepsake. Everyone received a coffee mug at
the end of the night to commemorate the evening.
Everyone
seemed to have a great time despite field maintenance that prohibited the
much-anticipated walk-through of the tunnel. A surprise appearance by Title
Towel Man (a.k.a. Dr. Mark Paschen of Baraboo) kept the crowd energized.
The foundation would like to thank the night’s
generous sponsors:
