WDA welcomes PEW Center on the States' review of children's dental health
WEST ALLIS, WIS., Feb. 23, 2010 – The Wisconsin Dental Association, which represents 83 percent of the state’s licensed dentists, today commended the PEW Center on the States for releasing its report card on dental health policies for children and helping raise awareness of the great need to do a better job for our nation’s low-income youngsters.

Wisconsin dentists donating $719,000 in care to 6,250 children for Give Kids A Smile®
WEST ALLIS, WIS., Feb. 2, 2010 – An estimated 350 Wisconsin dentists will volunteer their time and skills, along with 934 dental team members, dental, hygiene and assisting students, faculty and community advocates, to donate more than $719,000 in oral health care and education to 6,253 of the state’s low-income children this Friday, Feb. 5 and during upcoming weeks as part of the eighth annual Give Kids A Smile® children’s dental access program.

New study shows sufficient dental work force through 2020 with maldistribution a persistent challenge
WEST ALLIS, WIS., Jan. 20, 2010 – State government officials and oral health advocates will join Wisconsin Dental Association representatives in the North Hearing Room of the State Capitol in Madison from 10 a.m. to noon today to hear an overview of the “Supply and Demand for Dental Services: Wisconsin 2010 – 2020” study results.

Chippewa Falls’ Dr. Kent Vandehaar elected state dental association president
WEST ALLIS, WIS., Nov. 16, 2009 – Dr. Kent Vandehaar, a general dentist who lives and practices in Chippewa Falls, was sworn in as the 138th president of the 2,900-member Wisconsin Dental Association on Nov. 14, 2009 during the organization’s annual House of Delegates at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point.
