Dentists Concerned for Dentists In 1986, the WDA, through the financial support of the Wisconsin Dental Foundation, formed the Dentists Concerned for Dentists Committee to help those who have problems with alcohol or chemical dependency, depression, infectious diseases, or other well-being issues. Emergency Relief Fund During our lifetime we encounter many unexpected surprises, some of which leave us with insufficient resources to meet our daily living expenses. In those times of need the WDA/ADA Relief Fund can help. The Relief Funds grant money to those member and non-member dentists and their dependents in need due to physical disabilities or to those who have encountered emergency situations. Financial advisors Endorsed by the WDA, Mercer Global Advisors helps members learn about achieving economic freedom through the use of financial planning, investing, retirement planning and practice management information. MGA offers special endorsed member rates. Insurance Since 1982, WDA Insurance Programs, Inc. (WDAIP) has specialized in serving the insurance needs for members of Wisconsin's dental community. Insurance contract analysis Free insurance contract analysis is offered to members who are considering signing a contract. Media resources The WDA has numerous ways to keep you current with dental-related happenings in Wisconsin. From our publications to our staff, we are your one-stop source for information. Mentor program A partnership between the WDA, Marquette University School of Dentistry and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the mentor program pairs up dentists and dental students. New dentist This section is for dentists in practice 10 years or less or moving to Wisconsin. Keep an eye on this section as it grows in future months to contain more valuable information and resources for the new dentist. The Member Directory & Practice Guide is an annual directory and dental resource manual also sent to all members. Pyramid of Pride Awards The WDA Pyramids of Pride annually recognize the efforts of those who excel throughout the dental community. Nominations for the 2008 awards are now being accepted through July 15. |
