Executive Director's Update

This monthly electronic newsletter is sent to all WDA members to keep you informed of the latest association and dental-related regulation compliance, legislative and community news. Be sure to set up your account on WDA.org by clicking on "New/update account" in the Member Log In box. Manage your newsletter subscriptions by logging in and clicking on "My Dashboard". 

The WDA, with assistance from attorneys at Michael, Best and Friedrich, LLP, has completed the first phase of a guide to Frequently Asked Legal Questions for the Dental Office. This section of the WDA Member Directory & Practice Guide helps answer legal questions most frequently asked of WDA staff. Information includes a variety of practice management questions, transfer of record and record retention requirements and guidelines on how to handle requests from divorced parents. Log in to the WDA Web site or refer to the latest copy of the WDA Member Directory and Practice Guide for a listing of these questions and answers.

Legislative updates

As needed, WDA Director of Government Services Mara Brooks updates recipients via e-mail on the progress of legislative activities and  how members can make a difference. If you or your component have a dental health related event scheduled in your area, let us know! The WDA Public Relations Department will draft a press release and/or Media Advisory and will send it to the media in your area. Please e-mail cweber@wda.org for further details.
