The WDA offers three ways to reach the Wisconsin dental community. Plus, save 20 percent on your WDA Sourcebook ad when you advertise in the Journal and on WDA.org. Deadline to take advantage of this offer is Jan. 6, 2012.

WDA Journal

Statewide coverage: The official publication of the Wisconsin Dental Association that reaches more than 3,000 subscribers. The WDA Journal is read by an estimated 88 percent of Wisconsin’s licensed dentists, dental professionals and office team members and Marquette University School of Dentistry students. In addition to its regular readership, the December membership issue is mailed to all practicing dentists in the state.

A proven advertising medium: The WDA Journal’s consistently large volume of advertising is a testament to its high readership and appeal.

Quality layout and design: The layout and design of the full-color journal have been consistently improved providing a prestigious, modern graphic environment for advertising.

WDA Sourcebook (Member Directory and Practice Guide)

The annual WDA Sourcebook (Member Directory & Practice Guide) is a valuable, desktop reference used year-round by our approximately 3,000 member dentists and their dental office staffs across the state. In addition, this resource is posted on WDA.org and downloaded throughout the year.

It measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall. It is printed in black and white, with the exception of the inside front, inside back, back cover and two inside tab pages, which are printed in full color.

It is only printed once a year and the deadline to submit the completed contract and payment is Friday, Jan. 6, 2012; artwork is due Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.

WDA.org website

The WDA.org website is the 24/7 hub for dental professionals and patients to access timely and helpful news and information. A site renovation is planned for 2012 to give WDA.org a new look and continue to give visitors a positive user experience.
In four years, average daily traffic on WDA.org increased 205 percent.

Consider adding website advertising to your integrated marketing mix. It is a low-cost and effective opportunity to reach Wisconsin dentists and the dental community. Dentists, their office staffs and Marquette University School of Dentistry students visit the site for information about a variety of topics.

WDA.org and the resources it offers are regularly promoted in the WDA Journal, monthly Executive Director’s Update e-newsletter, WDA Sourcebook and on the association’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.

Classified advertising

Classified advertising is offered in the monthly WDA Journal. All classified ads are also placed online at wda.org. Additional advertising options include boxed and blind box ads and adding your company logo.

NEW! Mini-display classified advertisements

Make your ad stand out with a full color, mini-display.  Save 10 percent when you run a display ad for three months or more.

Mini-display artwork can be created for you at an additional charge:

  • $75 for initial mini-display creation
  • $50 per hour for edits after initial run (one hour minimum will be charged)

Artwork also can be provided by advertiser. High-resolution PDF format preferred; set resolution to 1200 dpi.

All ads must fall under a classified category.

Submitting classified ads

Classified ads received by the monthly deadlines will be printed in the WDA Journal and posted on the WDA.org website.

Ads that are not submitted by the deadline can be posted online only. In this case, the ad will be posted on WDA.org on the last business day of the month. Standard rates apply for ads posted only online.

Patient newsletter advertising

The WDA is pleased to make Tongue ‘n’ Cheek… and Teeth, too! available to our member dentists and their patients as a way of communicating oral health information and promoting quality care.

This full-color, four-page patient newsletter was launched in October 2011 and distributed to dental offices throughout the state.

We invite you to take advantage of advertising opportunities in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 and Fall/Winter 2012 issues.

Consider the following:

  • During a typical week 31.5 hours are spent in patient care hours
  • Patient newsletter visible for six months in waiting room
  • Dentists described this publication as convenient, concise, readable and pertinent
  • Each issue is also posted on WDA.org with 24/7 accessibility
