AB 251/SB 186 Non-Covered Services bill had 41 co-sponsors when it passed out of the Assembly Insurance Committee on Feb. 9, 2012 on a bipartisan vote of 11 – 4. Unfortunately, due to extensive pressure from the insurance industry lobbyists and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, the bill was blocked by Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon) and did not receive a floor vote by the full Assembly prior to the close of the legislative session.

View an update of Definition of Dentistry and Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) legislation. The WDA has reviewed the draft and submitted slight changes to the Legislative Reference Bureau. A bill number and public hearing are pending.
