July 11, 2011 | Volunteer & Donor E-Newsletter
| A message from WDA Mission of Mercy state program chair |
Dear Mission of Mercy volunteer,
As you all know, this year's Wisconsin Dental Association and WDA Foundation Mission of Mercy event was a resounding success.
This event is volunteer-driven and could not function without the hundreds of you that were there. The professionals that actually treat the patients would be at a standstill without the support of you all.
Regardless of your position, YOU individually made a difference. I met some of you, but not enough to thank you all personally. So, please consider this my THANK YOU with an 'e-handshake' for your efforts.
We have helped many people to smile more and be able to sleep better and THAT, my friends, is what it is all about!
See you in June 2012 - mark it down.
Sincerely,

Jim Morgenroth, DDS

| Spread the MOM word to local media |
Help build media awareness of this important charitable care event and the dental access problems faced by many Wisconsin residents by writing a letter to the editor and/or submitting a press release identifying local volunteers to media in your community.
Add a sentence or two about your MOM volunteer experience to personalize the letter. Note letters are usually limited to 300 words.
Fill-in volunteers’ names, cities of residence and add a personal quote.

Newspapers will be encouraged to print your letter or release when you send along a high-res photo of local MOM volunteers or the general event. Download a photo from WDA’s Flickr set.
Find e-mail addresses for submitting letters and press releases on media websites. Suggested e-mail subject line: Local volunteers help make charitable dental event a success!
Please forward your submissions to local media to WDA Director of Public Relations Carol Weber at cweber@wda.org to help us track MOM media efforts.
Thank you for helping the WDA spread the word about MOM!

Established in 1957 as a charitable subsidiary of the Wisconsin Dental Association, the WDA Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.
Its mission is to improve oral health of Wisconsin residents through its support of projects that provide dental care for the disadvantaged while meeting the current and future needs of the dental profession.
Donations to the WDA Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
The foundation is, in large part, supported by WDA members; however, the cost associated with a large-scale project such as Mission of Mercy requires us to expand our donation base and solicit grants from industry-related and community sponsors, other foundations and local dental societies.
