Conservative Adhesive and Esthetic Dentistry:  Proven Solutions for Clinical Success!

Want a “bottom line” approach to what works in “every day” adhesive, preventive and esthetic dentistry? This course will provide real-world, time-proven information on a variety of topics critical to consistent, long-term success in conservative restorative and esthetic dentistry.

The course will begin with an evidence-based overview of adhesive dentistry focusing on what works and what doesn’t. Are “universal” adhesives the answer or are they simply “old wine in new bottles?” How can you best eliminate sensitivity? What are MMPs and why are they important? How do you best bond to Zirconia? eMax? What about thermal and sonic insertion systems for composites? Bulk fill restoratives? Matrixing systems? Carolina bridges? What about nasal spray anesthesia? Oral antioxidants? Probiotics? Silver diamine fluoride? Innovative light curing technologies? How can you achieve optimal esthetics with minimal intervention?

Also, hear the latest information on novel approaches to white spot removal, tooth whitening, and managing the high caries risk patient. This presentation will separate fact from fiction in these areas and more.

Course objectives:

  1. Distinguish among the many types of adhesive systems and describe what works and what doesn’t.
  2. Describe how best to use contemporary restoratives, including bulk-fill restoratives, bioactive materials, sonic and thermoplastic posterior composites and more.
  3. Describe conservative clinical techniques for esthetic improvement, including white spot removal, tooth whitening and Carolina bridges.
  4. Understand the steps for treating high-risk caries patients, including use of Xylitol, fluoride varnish, silver diamine fluoride, probiotics and more.
