“Dentistry Elevated” JADA Live CE Program

The publishers of The Journal of The American Dental Association bring you JADA Live – a live CE seminar offering up to 6.5 hours of ADA CERP credit. “Dentistry Elevated: Detection, Restoration, Imaging and Implants”.  This full-day event on Friday. September 25, 2015 at the KI Center in Green Bay promises to be relevant and practical with the best and latest information to help you provide better care for your patients.

Distinguished Presenters

John C. Comisi, DDS, MAGD 

Committed to the importance of dental education. He will discuss methods of caries detection and potential solutions.
Dr. Comisi has been in private practice in Ithaca, NY since 1983, and is President and CEO of Dental Care with a Difference®, PC, where “Knowledge Brings Health”®, Chief Dental Officer for Vigilant Biosciences, Inc. and Clinical Instructor in Dentistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Fordham University. He is an Editorial Board Member for Dental Product Shopper magazine, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Dental Products Report and a Continuing Education Advisory Board member of Dental Learning. He is also a member of the National Dental Practice Based Research Network (NDPBRN) and the International and American Association of Dental Research.

Steven Guttenberg, DDS, MD

Uses and teaches 3D Cone Beam Imaging. Will talk about the basics of cone beam imaging, and its use in implants.
Dr. Guttenberg is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, practicing the full scope of his specialty in Washington, DC where he is Director of the Washington Institute for Mouth, Face and Jaw Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, of which he is currently the Immediate Past-President. Dr. Guttenberg is a member of the teaching staff at the Washington Hospital Center and is the chairman of its Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training and Education Committee. He is a frequent lecturer throughout the United States and abroad as well. Dr. Guttenberg has written numerous scientific articles and book chapters which have been published in the dental and medical literature.

Michael Miyasaki, DDS

Has a passion for teaching about sleep apnea based on his own experience.
Dr. Miyasaki is an active clinician practicing in Sacramento, CA, where he maintains his general restorative practice focusing on aesthetics and function. Dr. Miyasaki has been involved in dental education for over 25 years and is currently the Director of Education for the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum.

He has organized live-patient treatment programs in the United States, Australia and Canada, and trained dentists, their teams, and laboratory technicians from over 18 countries.

Dr. Miyasaki’s participation in live-patient treatment courses for over a decade gives him a unique perspective on dentistry and dental education. His involvement in corporate dentistry from 1996-present gives him a unique appreciation of the dental industry. And in 2014 he again re-engaged with live-patient treatment programs while working his clinical and corporate endeavors bringing the best of all three together, ultimately to provide his colleagues with relevant information and implementation strategies to increase their enjoyment and their patient’s quality of treatment in systematic engaging education.


You will receive 6.5 units of continuing education credit upon successful completion of this course. American Dental Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.
