OSHA and CDC Infection Control for Dentistry - ONSITE
The course will provide a review of the current CDC infection control guidance and related OSHA directives for dental healthcare settings. The course will provide the rationale for compliance through an evidence-based approach consisting of current events and literature on prevalent risks associated with the delivery of dental care in the post-pandemic era, including strategies for best practices to ensure the health and safety of team members and patients. The course fulfills the infection control continuing education requirement for Wisconsin licensure.
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand current CDC guidelines to reduce the risk of disease transmission in dental settings.
- Implement best practices for infection prevention in dental settings.
- Apply related OSHA standards to promote dental healthcare provider safety in a post-pandemic era.
