In surveys to dentists, dental insurance has been cited as one of the major problems faced by dental practices. In this live online seminar event, ADA staff will be joined by the following dentists who have extensive experience navigating dental insurance issues: Dr. Shelley Olson, a general dentist from Oxford, North Carolina who is the chair of the ADA’s Council on Dental Benefit Programs Dr. Bertram Hughes, a general dentist from Gainesville, Florida who is the vice chair of the Council on Dental Benefit Programs Dr. Travis Campbell, a general dentist from Prosper, Texas Topics that will be covered include exclusivity clauses in PPO agreements, PPO leasing arrangements, and reimbursement and lack of dental plan assistance for out of network dentists. These are everyday issues that plague dental offices, and this webinar will bring participants up to date on current ADA advocacy efforts regarding dental benefit plans.
