2027 WDA and WDA Foundation Mission of Mercy (MOM)
Event Dates: July 29-31, 2027; treatment days are July 30-31, 2027; set up is July 29, 2027.
Location: Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, WI 53713
Patients:
Patients are seen on first-come, first-served basis till we reach capacity for the day. Doors open at 5:30 a.m. (on both July 30 & 31). We anticipate serving approximately 1,000 patients each day.
Adults and children of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No childcare is available on site. Any person who does not have a medically compromising condition that prohibits safely receiving care is welcome.
No personal ID or other documentation needed. No dental insurance needed. No income eligibility. Parking is free in the Alliant Energy Center parking lot.
Dental services provided include cleanings, fillings, extractions and limited treatment partials.
We will do our best to provide interpreters to assist patients who speak Spanish, Hmong or American Sign Language.
All work is provided free of charge by volunteer dentists and community helpers, donating their time and skills.

Volunteers:
The MOM needs around 1,400 volunteers to provide oral health care to the anticipated 2,000 patients served at the event.
Volunteers are needed in clinical and non-clinical roles. If you enjoy serving others, we need your help and hope you will step up to serve.
If you are an out-of-state dentist wishing to volunteer in a clinical role, please contact Mark Spiegelhoff, WDA Foundation Executive Director, at mspiegelhoff@wda.org or at 414-755-4198, for more specifics on how to obtain a temporary dental license for this event.
If you wish to volunteer at the event you must register. The volunteer registration portal will open up in April 2027. Notifications on this will be communicated to the dental community through WDA communication avenues. Members of the general public should check back on this website page for more information in April 2027.
There is a hotel room block reserved for MOM volunteers at two different hotels in close proximity to the Alliant Energy Center. Volunteers will need to make their own reservations under this room block. More information will be made available on the WDA Foundation website page under the MOM tab in April 2027.
Donations/Sponsorships:
To continue to provide this much-needed care, we also need financial support. Tax-deductible financial donations and in-kind contributions may be made through the WDA Foundation to help cover the more than $325,000 in costs for dental equipment and facility rental, supplies, pharmaceuticals and food for this charitable care event. MOM events deliver $5 in critical free dental care for every $1 donated.
