Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation awards dental student scholarships
WEST ALLIS, WIS. – The
Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation is pleased to announce it has
awarded three $10,000 scholarships to third-year dental students at
Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Anna Misky, a native of Milwaukee, received her
undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Marquette University
and plans on starting an orthodontic residency after graduation.
Stephen Anderson, from Eau Claire, Wis., has an
undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Marquette University.
Upon graduation from dental school, he plans to pursue a career in oral
and maxillofacial surgery.
Ashley Jacobs, whose hometown is Deerfield, Wis.,
graduated with a biology degree from the University of Wisconsin –
Madison. After completing her dental degree, she plans to practice
general dentistry in the state of Wisconsin.
All scholarship award applicants were Wisconsin residents and ranked in the top 20% of their class.
“We are proud to financially support the education needs of these high
performing third-year dental students,” said Mark Spiegelhoff, WDA
Foundation executive director.
The WDA Foundation has provided scholarships totaling more than $297,000 to Marquette University dental students since 2008.
